About the Position
The Simulator Second in Command (SIC) ensures currency in assigned training programs to effectively serve as SIC for customer pilots undergoing recurrent, initial, or generic training. This position focuses on functioning as a competent SIC without direct instructional duties, acting as a flying partner for clients who may not have one. The SIC will maintain qualifications in accordance with FlightSafety International's Quality Management System and specific aircraft program requirements.
Requirements

High school diploma or GED with 2-3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Commercial Pilot Certificate with appropriate category, class, and instrument ratings.
Minimum of 450 flight hours.

Fluency in English, including verbal and written communication, comprehension, reading, and writing.

Excellent cockpit verbal communication skills.

Ability to professionally interact with diverse customers.

Capacity to adapt to changing schedules and high-pressure situations.

A second language may be required at certain Learning Centers.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

Regular use of hands for manipulation of controls and tools.

Ability to reach with hands and arms, and to talk or hear.

May be required to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or taste/smell.

Must possess physical range of motion to operate rudder controls, manipulate simulator controls, enter/exit the simulator via ramp, and exit a malfunctioning simulator.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Work environment may involve moving mechanical parts, high/precarious places, and occasional exposure to various environmental conditions including wetness, fumes, chemicals, extreme temperatures, electrical shock, radiation, and vibration.
