Position Summary
Flexjet, an award-winning organization specializing in high-end private jet travel, is actively seeking highly skilled and customer-focused First Officers to join its esteemed flight crew. This critical role involves safely piloting assigned Flexjet aircraft on both domestic and international routes, ensuring an unparalleled travel experience for Flexjet Owners throughout their scheduled rotations. Key Responsibilities
The First Officer operates under the direct authority of the Pilot-in-Command, performing all assigned flight duties with the utmost professionalism. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Functionally responsible to the Pilot-in-Command on all flights.
- Performing all assigned duties with a high degree of crew coordination, maintaining a professional, efficient, and cordial demeanor at all times.
- Responsible to the Fleet Chief Pilot for duty assignments and training adherence.
- Greeting passengers, assisting with passenger seating, and securing luggage storage.
- Conducting comprehensive passenger briefings to ensure awareness and comfort.
- Assisting with emergency evacuations in accordance with established procedures.
- Adhering strictly to all duties and responsibilities outlined in the Crew Flight Manual and Flight Deck Handbook.
- Maintaining a current medical certificate as required by the Company and promptly notifying their Assistant Chief Pilot if any medical condition (physical or mental) may impair their ability to perform flight duties.
- Performing other duties as assigned to support safe and efficient flight operations.
Education & Experience
Candidates for the First Officer position should possess a robust background in aviation, demonstrating both extensive flight experience and a commitment to continuous professional development. Competitive candidates will meet the following criteria:
- Must meet Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) minimums, including a completed ATP written examination and qualification to take the practical check ride.
- A minimum of 3,000 hours total flight time is required.
- A current 1st Class FAA Medical Certificate is mandatory.
- Possession of a valid passport is essential for international operations.
- Ability to obtain a CANPASS permit (Canadian Customs program).
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation, Aviation Management, or a related field is preferred; however, equivalent professional experience will be considered.
- Previous experience in FAR Part 135, Part 91 Subpart K, or corporate aircraft operations is highly desirable.
- Applicants must possess the legal right to work in the United States and have the unrestricted ability to travel in and out of the U.S. and to all cities and countries where Flexjet serves.
- Special consideration is given to candidates with military flight experience, extensive Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time, turbine aircraft experience, and prior experience on Flexjet airframes.

- Comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of all Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to FAR Part 135, Part 91 Subpart K, and Part 91.
- Thorough knowledge of FAA, ICAO, and other international flight operations regulations.
- Exceptional organizational skills and advanced multi-tasking abilities.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer skills necessary to operate word processing, email, and web-based applications.

- The ability to present a consistently professional and well-groomed appearance.
Domiciles
This position requires candidates to reside near, or be willing to relocate near, an assigned domicile. To meet the responsiveness required by Flexjet Owners, the candidate must be able to report to their domicile within two hours, regardless of weather conditions. Commuting to and from the domicile is covered at company expense during scheduled duty days, and pilots are allowed to change their domicile with proper notice.
