Position Summary
Flexjet, an award-winning organization renowned for its specialization in high-end private jet travel, actively seeks customer service-oriented pilots to enhance its flight operations. This critical role involves collaborative piloting of assigned Flexjet aircraft for both domestic and international flights, prioritizing the safety and comfort of Flexjet Owners during their scheduled journeys. Duties & Responsibilities
- Serves as the Pilot-in-Command's functional crew member for all flights, executing assigned duties with precision and professionalism.
- Maintains an exemplary standard of crew coordination, performing all tasks efficiently and courteously.
- Reports to the Fleet Chief Pilot for duty assignments and professional development.
- Engages passengers warmly, assists with seating arrangements, and facilitates luggage storage.
- Conducts comprehensive passenger briefings to ensure a smooth and informed travel experience.
- Provides assistance during emergency evacuation procedures as required.
- Adheres strictly to all protocols and responsibilities outlined in the Crew Flight Manual and Flight Deck Handbook.
- Maintains a current medical certificate as stipulated by the Company and promptly reports any medical condition that may affect flight duties to the Assistant Chief Pilot.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support operational excellence.
Education & Experience
- Candidates must satisfy ATP minimum flight experience requirements, including completion of the written exam and eligibility for the check ride.
- Significant emphasis is placed on the quality of flight time; military experience, Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time, turbine aircraft experience, and specific airframe proficiency are highly valued.
- Competitive candidates typically possess the following qualifications:
- 3,000 hours of total flight time.
- A current First Class Medical certificate.
- A valid passport.
- The ability to obtain a CANPASS permit for Canadian customs clearance.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation, Aviation Management, or a closely related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Previous experience in Part 135/91K operations or corporate aircraft is considered advantageous.
- Applicants must possess the legal right to work in the United States and demonstrate the capability to travel internationally to all destinations served by Flexjet.
Required Skills
- Proficient understanding of all Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to FAR Part 135, Part 91 Subpart K, and Part 91.
- Comprehensive knowledge of FAA, ICAO, and other international flight operations regulations.
- Exceptional organizational skills and advanced multi-tasking capabilities.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills essential for high-performance job execution.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing, email, and web-based platforms.
- A keen attention to detail coupled with the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- A well-groomed and professional appearance.
Domiciles
Candidates are required to reside in proximity to, or be willing to relocate to, their assigned domicile. To ensure the responsiveness demanded by Flexjet Owners, the candidate must be able to report to the domicile within a two-hour timeframe, irrespective of weather conditions. Domicile changes are permitted with appropriate advance notice. Commuting to and from the domicile is facilitated at company expense and occurs during scheduled work days. Home basing is available at the following airports, with no limitation on the number of pilots per domicile:
