Flexjet Europe First Officer: UK & EU Based
Flexjet, a global leader in private aviation, seeks a highly motivated and experienced First Officer to join its European operations. As part of a dedicated team, the First Officer will be responsible for piloting assigned Flexjet aircraft on both domestic and international flights, ensuring a safe and exceptional travel experience for Flexjet owners and passengers.
Position Summary:
The First Officer will work in close collaboration with the Captain to safely operate Flexjet aircraft, adhering to the highest standards of professionalism and airmanship. The role involves piloting the aircraft, maintaining a high level of crew coordination, and providing exceptional customer service.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Functionally responsible to the Captain for all flying duties, ensuring adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures.
- Maintain a high personal standard of discipline, conduct, and appearance, representing the company with professionalism and integrity.
- Actively support the Captain in fostering a culture of excellence and morale amongst the crew.
- Assist the Captain in maintaining a high standard of crew discipline, conduct, and personal appearance.
- Execute assigned flight duties, including procedures, limitations, and performance related to the specific aircraft type, as directed by the Captain.
- Proactively provide advice, information, and assistance to the Captain, contributing to the safe and efficient execution of the flight.
- Report all known or suspected violations or incidents promptly to the Fleet Manager.
- Maintain a current medical certificate as required by the company and promptly notify the Fleet Manager of any medical condition that may affect flight duties.
- Assist the Captain with administrative duties related to the flight as required.
- Foster a high level of crew coordination, consistently performing duties in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner.
- Report to the Fleet Manager for duty assignments and training.
- Greet passengers as required, assisting with seating and luggage storage.
- Conduct passenger briefings as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the company.
Education & Experience:
Essential Qualifications:
- Valid EASA ATPL and a Valid UK ATPL (one or the other may be in the process of application, but must be held prior to 31/12/2022).
- 2,500 hours Total Time.
- 500 hours Pilot in Command Under Supervision time.
- 250 hours Multi Pilot Instrument Time.
- ME-IR (A) on EASA License.
- MCC Course certificate or MP Rating on EASA License.
- Valid EASA Class 1 Medical.
- Hold a valid EU-Passport.
- English Language Proficiency (ELP), minimum level 5.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Previous experience in Commercial Air Transport and Corporate operations.
- Ability to work weekends, nights, shifts, holidays, and overnight trips.
Required Skills:
- Working knowledge of all applicable EASA and UK Regulations.
- Strong organizational skills and advanced multitasking abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal/written communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in using word processing, email, and web-based applications.
- Passionate attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team atmosphere.
- Well-groomed appearance.
Working Conditions:
The work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions (including extreme heat and cold), high, precarious places, outside weather conditions, vibration, and chemicals (including aviation fuels and lavatory fluid). The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Physical Requirements:
In addition to meeting the requirements for a Class 1 Medical certificate, the Pilot must be physically capable of performing day-to-day tasks associated with operating an airplane, including but not limited to: loading and unloading bags, completing thorough pre-flight and post-flight inspections, assisting with snow and ice removal during inclement weather, installing and removing engine covers, and performing daily aircraft cleaning as required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 23 kgs.
