Aviation Pilot - Flexjet

Position Summary

An Aviation Pilot at Flexjet operates assigned company aircraft for both domestic and international flights, ensuring the utmost safety and comfort for Flexjet owners and passengers during scheduled rotations. This role is integral to providing an exceptional private aviation experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serves as a key member of the flight crew, functionally responsible to the Captain for all flying duties.
  • Upholds the highest personal standards of discipline, conduct, and appearance, acting as a distinguished representative of the company.
  • Actively supports the Captain in fostering and maintaining professional expertise and high morale among the crew through exemplary conduct.
  • Assists the Captain in upholding proper crew discipline, conduct, and personal appearance standards.
  • Executes flight-related duties in strict accordance with Company Standard Operating Procedures, including specific aircraft type limitations and performance requirements, as delegated by the Captain.
  • Provides timely and pertinent advice, information, and assistance to the Captain to enhance flight safety and efficiency.
  • Promptly reports all known or suspected violations or incidents to the Fleet Manager.
  • Maintains a current medical certificate as mandated by the company and notifies the Fleet Manager of any medical condition that may affect flight duties.
  • Assists the Captain with administrative duties related to flight operations as requested.
  • Cultivates and maintains exceptional crew coordination, performing all duties with professionalism, efficiency, and a cordial demeanor.
  • Reports to the Fleet Manager for duty assignments and training progression.
  • Greets passengers, assists with seating arrangements, and manages luggage storage as required.
  • Conducts passenger briefings to ensure a safe and informed travel experience.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support business operations.

Education & Experience

Prospective candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid EASA ATPL. A UK CAA ATPL and Medical are desirable but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of 2,500 hours of Total Time.
  • Accumulation of 500 hours of Pilot in Command Under Supervision (PICUS) time.
  • Completion of 250 hours of Multi-Pilot Instrument (MPI) Time.
  • ME-IR (A) on an EASA License.
  • A Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) Course certificate or an MP Rating on an EASA License.
  • Hold an advanced UPRT qualification or have completed the required training and checking within the preceding three years, in accordance with ORO.FC.220 or ORO.FC.230 of Annex III (Part-ORO) to Regulation (EU) No 965/2012.
  • A valid EASA Class 1 Medical certificate.
  • Hold a valid EU Passport.
  • English Language Proficiency (ELP) at a minimum level of 5.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
  • Previous experience in Commercial Air Transport and Corporate operations is desirable.
  • Must possess the legal right to work in Europe and/or the UK, with the ability to travel internationally to all cities and countries served by Flexjet.
  • Availability to work weekends, nights, shifts, holidays, and undertake overnight trips.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of Initial Training, including a Type Rating on the assigned fleet.

Working Conditions

The work environment is representative of a dynamic aviation setting. While performing essential job functions, employees may encounter moving mechanical parts, varying humidity levels, extreme temperatures, working at heights, diverse weather conditions, vibration, and exposure to aviation fuels and fluids. The ambient noise level is typically high.

Physical Requirements

In addition to the requirements for holding a Class 1 Medical certificate, pilots must be capable of performing the day-to-day tasks associated with aircraft operations. This includes, but is not limited to, loading and unloading baggage, conducting thorough pre-flight and post-flight inspections, assisting with snow and ice removal in inclement weather, installing and removing engine covers, and performing daily aircraft cleaning as required. The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 23 kgs.
