Global Express Captain

Flexjet is seeking a highly experienced and service-oriented pilot to join its Global Express team as a Captain. This pivotal role offers a unique opportunity to fly long-range routes in support of current fleets, capitalizing on unprecedented demand for our services. The Captain assumes Pilot-in-Command responsibilities for all assigned Global Express flights, ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers throughout their scheduled rotations. This position reports directly to the Large Cabin Fleet Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Executes all Captain/Pilot-in-Command duties, directing and ensuring thorough understanding of responsibilities among all crew members.
  • Conducts all operations in strict accordance with company procedures.
  • Holds final authority for the safe operation of the aircraft.
  • Verifies the assigned aircraft is airworthy and all necessary documents are on board.
  • Promptly reports any known or suspected violations or incidents to the Fleet Manager.
  • Maintains a valid medical certificate and notifies the Fleet Manager of any physical or mental conditions that could impair flight performance.
  • Ensures all maintenance discrepancies are documented and reported to the maintenance team, alerting Operations to the aircraft's current status, as required.
  • Maintains regular contact with Operations and other relevant departments to ensure timely communication between the flight crew and ground support.
  • Maintains a high degree of crew coordination, performing duties in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner at all times.
  • Reports to the Fleet Manager for duty assignments and training.
  • Greets passengers, assists with seating and luggage storage.
  • Conducts thorough passenger briefings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Must hold a valid EASA ATPL.
  • Must possess a current Global Express Type Rating.
  • Minimum of 3,500 hours total flight time.
  • Minimum of 1,000 hours Pilot-in-Command time on type.
  • Minimum of 500 hours Multi-Engine Land time (1,000 hours preferred).
  • Minimum of 500 hours Multi-Engine Turbine time (1,000 hours preferred).
  • Minimum of 500 hours Actual Instrument time.
  • Must hold a valid Multi-Crew Rating on EASA license.
  • Must hold a valid EASA Class 1 Medical certificate.
  • Must possess a valid EU passport.
  • Minimum English Language Proficiency (ELP) of level 5.
  • Prior commercial air transport and corporate operations experience is desirable.
  • Must have the legal right to work in Europe and/or the UK and be able to travel in and out of Europe and to all cities/countries served by Flexjet.

Working Conditions:

The work environment involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, extreme temperatures, high altitudes, outside weather, vibrations, and chemicals including aviation fuels and lavatory fluids. The noise level is typically loud.

Physical Requirements:

In addition to meeting all Class 1 Medical certificate requirements, the pilot must be capable of performing all daily tasks associated with aircraft operation, including loading and unloading bags, performing thorough pre-flight and post-flight checks, assisting with snow and ice removal, installing and removing engine covers, and performing routine cleaning of the aircraft. This position requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 23 kilograms occasionally.
