Captain, Global Express Program
Position Summary
Flexjet is seeking an experienced and highly motivated pilot to join its Global Express team as a Captain. This unique opportunity is ideal for pilots with a passion for service, a desire to fly long-range routes, and the flexibility to accommodate demanding schedules. As a Captain, the successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft, managing daily operational functions, and ensuring a positive and comfortable flight experience for passengers. This position reports directly to the Large Cabin Fleet Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform all Captain/Pilot in Command (PIC) duties, providing clear instructions and ensuring all crew members fully understand their assigned tasks.
- Execute all duties in strict accordance with established Company procedures.
- Exercise ultimate authority over the safe operation of the aircraft.
- Verify the aircraft's airworthiness and ensure all necessary documentation is onboard.
- Promptly report any suspected violations or incidents to the Fleet Manager.
- Maintain a current medical certificate as required by the Company and immediately notify the Fleet Manager of any medical condition (physical or mental) that might impair flight capabilities.
- At the end of each day, report and document all maintenance discrepancies to the maintenance team and, where necessary, inform Operations of the aircraft's current status.
- Maintain regular contact with Operations, or other relevant departments as needed, ensuring timely communication between the Flight Crew and Operations throughout the flight.
- Foster a high level of crew coordination, consistently demonstrating professionalism, efficiency, and courtesy in all interactions.
- Report to the Fleet Manager for duty assignments and training.
- Greet passengers, assist with seating arrangements, and manage luggage storage.
- Conduct thorough passenger briefings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
- Valid EASA ATPL.
- Current Global Express Type Rating Required.
- 3,500 hours total time.
- 1,000 hours Pilot-In-Command time on type.
- 500 hours Multi-Engine Land time (1,000 preferred).
- 500 hours Multi-Engine Turbine time (1,000 preferred).
- 500 hours Actual Instrument time.
- Valid Multi-Crew Rating on EASA license.
- Valid EASA Class 1 Medical.
- Valid EU-Passport.
- English Language Proficiency (ELP), minimum level 5.
- Prior experience in Commercial Air Transport and Corporate operations is desirable.
- Must possess the legal right to work in Europe and/or the UK and have the ability to travel in and out of Europe and to all cities/countries where Flexjet serves.
Required Skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of all applicable EASA and UK Regulations.

- Excellent interpersonal, verbal/written, and presentation skills necessary to perform job duties at the expected level.
- Proficiency in computer applications including word processing, email, and web-based software.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions including extreme heat and cold; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions and vibration; chemicals including aviation fuels and lavatory fluid. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Physical Requirements
In addition to meeting the requirements for a Class 1 Medical certificate, the Pilot must be physically capable of performing the day-to-day tasks associated with operating an airplane. These tasks include but are not limited to: loading and unloading luggage, conducting thorough pre-flight and post-flight inspections, assisting with snow and ice removal in inclement weather, installing and removing engine covers, and performing daily aircraft cleaning as required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 23 kgs.
