Chief Instructor - Crew Training

Finnair is seeking a motivated and talented professional to join the Safety Training team within the Flight Operations department. Role Overview

The Chief Instructor is responsible for ensuring high-quality training in safety, CRM, and first aid. This role involves organizing, coordinating, and supervising training for all crew members, as well as developing training materials for digital learning platforms. The position is based primarily on office work and standard business hours, reporting to the Nominated Person for Crew Training.

Key Requirements

  • Current or previous holder of a cabin crew attestation.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a cabin crew member.
  • Strong understanding of the Crew Resource Management (CRM) concept.
  • Knowledge of crew training concepts and regulations (EASA, IOSA, company requirements).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint).
  • Strong teamwork, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent presentation and communication abilities.
  • A responsible, productive, and proactive work style with resilience to change.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a safety and CRM instructor.
  • Experience with digital learning environments, particularly the Workday system.
  • Experience in utilizing AI tools for productivity, analysis, or automation.

Working at Finnair

This is a full-time, permanent position offering the opportunity to contribute to the management and development of safety training within a hybrid work environment. Compensation is based on the FINTO Collective Labour Agreement (CLA). The role provides the possibility to maintain instructor and flying qualifications.
