Job Description:
Federal Express Corporation is seeking a highly qualified Corporate Pilot / Senior Captain to provide safe and efficient air transportation services. This role is crucial for enhancing the productivity of corporate executives and other personnel by offering travel flexibility and optimizing valuable management travel time. The Corporate Pilot / Senior Captain operates sophisticated aircraft, upholding the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Essential Functions:
- Provides critical Corporate Aviation transport for FedEx flight crews, essential maintenance parts, and key personnel to various field locations.
- Ensures timely arrival of FedEx cargo by maintaining operational readiness and responsiveness, thereby supporting company profitability and public trust in FedEx services.
- Expertly operates and controls aircraft throughout all phases of flight, including demanding takeoffs and landings, in accordance with trip requirements.
- Continuously monitors vital aircraft systems, including engines, fuel consumption, and other performance parameters during flight.
- Demonstrates adaptability and swift response to dynamic operational conditions, such as adverse weather events or unexpected mechanical situations.
- Performs additional assigned duties as required to support corporate aviation operations.
Minimum Education:
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required, or equivalent operational or industry experience within corporate aviation may be considered.
- Possession of an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with multi-engine and instrument ratings (without limitation) is mandatory.
Minimum Experience:
- A minimum of 1500 total fixed-wing flight hours is required as either Pilot in Command (PIC) or Second in Command (SIC) in multi-engine turboprop or jet aircraft, or a combination thereof.
- A minimum of 500 total fixed-wing flight hours must be logged as Pilot in Command (PIC) in multi-engine turboprop or jet aircraft with a maximum takeoff weight equal to or greater than 12,500 lbs.
- Pilot in Command time is defined strictly in accordance with FAR 1.1 and not merely as the sole manipulator of the controls.
- Demonstrated recency of experience is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Exceptional interpersonal skills are essential for effective communication and collaboration with executives, crew members, and support staff.
Job Conditions:
- Must hold a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate, obtained within the preceding twelve (12) months.
- Correctable vision of 20/20 is required.
- This is a safety-sensitive position within Corporate Aviation and is subject to random alcohol and drug testing in compliance with regulations.
- The ability to consistently perform duties in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required.
