Corporate Pilot / Senior Captain
Federal Express Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Pilot/Senior Captain to join its professional team. This full-time position is based in Memphis, TN, and plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe transportation of company personnel and vital operational assets.
Job Summary
The Corporate Pilot/Senior Captain is responsible for providing safe and effective transportation for corporate executives and other essential personnel, enhancing their productivity and offering flexible travel solutions.
Essential Functions
- Provides time-critical Corporate Aviation transport for FedEx flight crews, maintenance parts, and personnel as needed to field locations, ensuring scheduled cargo delivery and supporting company profitability and public confidence.
- Operates and controls aircraft proficiently during all phases of flight, including takeoffs and landings, in accordance with trip requirements.
- Continuously monitors engine performance, fuel consumption, and other critical aircraft systems throughout the flight.
- Responds effectively and safely to dynamic conditions, including adverse weather events and in-flight emergencies or mechanical malfunctions.
- Performs additional duties as assigned to support corporate aviation operations.
Minimum Education
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required, or equivalent operational/industry experience in corporate aviation.
Minimum Experience
- Minimum of 1500 hours total fixed wing time as pilot in command (PIC) or second in command (SIC) in multi-engine turboprop or jet aircraft, or a combination thereof.
- Minimum of 500 hours total fixed wing pilot in command (PIC) in multi-engine turbo prop or jet aircraft with a maximum gross takeoff weight equal to or greater than 12,500 lbs.
- Pilot in command (PIC) is defined in accordance with FAR 1.1 and does not solely refer to the sole manipulator of the controls.
- Recency of experience is required.
Licenses and Certifications
- Must possess an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with multi-engine and instrument ratings (without limitation).
- Must possess a FAA first class medical certificate obtained within the preceding 12 months.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills are essential for effective communication and collaboration.

- Must have 20/20 correctable vision.
- This is a Corporate Aviation safety-sensitive position.
- Subject to random alcohol and drug testing.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and perform duties in a safe manner is required.
