Aviation Pilot Position: Weather Modification, Inc.
Weather Modification, Inc. (WMI) seeks a highly skilled and experienced Pilot In Command to operate King Air C90 and B200 aircraft in support of specialized weather modification operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient conduct of flights under varying weather conditions, while maintaining meticulous attention to aircraft and operational standards. This role also involves close collaboration with project meteorologists and other WMI personnel.
Essential Job Functions:
- Conduct aircraft operations during specialized mission assignments.
- Assist with aircraft maintenance and the upkeep of specialized mission equipment.
- Manage the replenishment of seeding agents as operational requirements dictate.
- Maintain continuous communication with project meteorologists, providing real-time updates on evolving storm and cloud patterns.
- Ensure accurate and comprehensive flight record keeping.
- Maintain a consistently clean, organized, and professional work environment in both the aircraft and office spaces.
- Provide 24/7 weather monitoring services as needed.
- Represent WMI professionally, fostering positive public relations and teamwork.
- Deliver post-operation briefings to key WMI personnel.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1500 hours total flight time.
- Multi-engine flight time is highly preferred.
- Commercial/Multi-Engine/Instrument rating required.
- Current First or Second Class Medical Certificate is mandatory.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English.
- Proven ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion.
- Willingness to relocate and travel internationally.
- Valid passport.
Physical Demands:
The role demands the ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling are also inherent to the position. The candidate must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
