Second in Command - Gulfstream GV
Executive Jet Management (EJM) is seeking a qualified Second in Command pilot for a Gulfstream GV aircraft based in Wheeling, Illinois.

Purpose of Position
The Second in Command is responsible for passenger welfare, cabin safety, and service. This role requires proficiency in abnormal and emergency procedures, as well as all cabin systems and operations. The Second in Command reports to the Chief Pilot for the safe and efficient conduct of flight assignments and to the assigned Pilot in Command (PIC) for trip-specific duties.
This is a four-pilot account supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician, operating under Part 135 regulations. The position averages approximately 20 flying days per month, including day trips and overnight trips typically lasting 2-3 nights.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Perform pilot duties in accordance with company GOM, FAA Regulations, Operations Specifications, Flight Manuals, and other pertinent instructions.
- Ensure compliance with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and report any safety, security, or quality recommendations or non-compliance observations.
- Conduct post-flight interior checks, including removal of debris, ice, and catering from the aircraft, and report any interior equipment discrepancies to the PIC.
- Arrange and obtain necessary cabin items, including catering, as identified by the Flight Operations Center, while providing a high level of customer service.
- Coordinate work schedules and changes with the Chief Pilot.
- Log and report flight and duty times accurately.
- Report all commercial flying performed outside the company to the Flight Operations Center for inclusion in Flight and Duty Time Records.
- Maintain and provide the Flight Operations Training Department with a copy of a valid First Class Medical Certificate by the twentieth of each month.

Experience
- 2-4 years of experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs)
- Strong prioritizing and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple high-level priorities.
- Proactive decision-making skills.
- Must maintain a valid Medical Certificate.
- Required to obtain an FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet type.
- Ability to uphold service standards in a strict and changing regulatory environment.
- Strong customer service skills.

Salary Range
Cabin Size: Small/Mid/Supermid
Salary: $125,000 - $180,000
