Job Summary:

The First Officer is responsible for providing a superior air transportation experience while maintaining a flawless safety record. Serving as an ambassador for NetJets, the First Officer delivers technically proficient, safe transportation and an exceptional service experience to every NetJets Owner and passenger. The position commands the largest and most diverse private jet fleet, flying discerning clients to destinations worldwide. NetJets prioritizes safety and provides its pilots with the flexibility, support, and resources necessary to enhance their careers and personal lives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate the aircraft safely from taxi to landing, adhering to FAA guidelines, OEM checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manual, and Standard Operating Practices.
  • Greet Owners/passengers pre-flight, make introductions, brief on specific flight details, verify itineraries, provide weather updates, and deliver safety briefings.
  • Provide in-flight services, including the responsible handling of alcohol and the service of catering.
  • Load and properly stow baggage on the aircraft.
  • Conduct flights for Owners with pets and those who smoke.
  • Act as the final authority on the aircraft regarding all operational aspects, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory guidance.
  • Serve as a liaison for Owners/passengers and NetJets, from arrival at the FBO to final destination.
  • Communicate maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to NetJets via the Maintenance Control Center (MCC).
  • Complete all necessary paperwork associated with maintenance discrepancies.
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) written exam completed.
  • First Class Medical Certificate.
  • FAA ATP, Restricted ATP, or eligibility for such certificate with multi-engine rating.
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
    • 1,500 hours total flight time, or
    • 1,250 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate, or
    • 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification, or
    • 1,000 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate
  • 200 hours cross-country flight time.
  • 250 hours fixed-wing Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time.
  • 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with ≥45 night takeoffs and landings.
  • 75 hours of instrument time.
  • 50 hours fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
  • FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit.
  • Valid passport with the ability to travel internationally without restrictions.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to work varying hours, including day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Adaptability to rapid changes and ability to manage rest.
  • Ability to pass TSA background screening and secure required airport security badges.
  • Valid State driver's license.
  • Fluency in the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Service-oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to make quick and accurate decisions with attention to detail.
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently.
  • Ability to work around animals and conduct flights for Owners who smoke.

Salary:

The base salary range for this position is $69,932 - $95,696.
