Pilot in Command - Falcon 8X - White Plains, NY
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and a subsidiary of NetJets, seeks a qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Falcon 8X aircraft based in White Plains, NY (KHPN). EJM has been a leading provider of aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977, upholding core principles of safety, service, and integrity.
Position Overview
The Pilot in Command is ultimately responsible for ensuring the aircraft is operated in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner. The PIC adheres to all company and regulatory requirements while delivering an exceptional service experience to clients. This is a 3-pilot account with dedicated Maintenance Technician and Cabin Attendant support, operating under Part 91 and 135 regulations. The flight schedule includes approximately 70% international travel, primarily throughout Europe, as well as domestic travel to Colorado, California, and Florida. The team includes a well-tenured and experienced Lead PIC.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Ensures the Safe Operation of Flight:
- Verifies crewing and trip assignments comply with all company and regulatory standards.
- Completes flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each assignment.
- Leads required briefings using Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to mitigate operational risks.
- Adheres to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates with company personnel. Acts as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator.
- Completes all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including maintenance status verification, to ensure mission readiness. Records all aircraft discrepancies per company SOPs.
- Monitors and manages all aircraft ground servicing requirements (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) according to SOPs.
- Conducts passenger briefings according to company policy and regulations, delivering exceptional customer service and addressing any special needs.
- Employs Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate effectively with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
- Delivers an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Provides high-quality service to owners and passengers, identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience and resolving service deviations.
- Collaborates with crew members and EJM internal partners to ensure a consistent service experience. Resolves conflict and challenges appropriately.
- Maintains Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintains all regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Complies with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and reports safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate channels.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs)
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation is preferred.
- Must hold an FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Ideal candidates will possess Dassault experience, with preference given to those already typed in the Falcon 8X and residing within a two-hour radius of White Plains, NY (KHPN). This is not a home-based position, so candidates must live within two hours of HPN or be willing to fully relocate within 90 days.
Base Salary Range
- Small/Mid/Supermid Cabin: $160,000 - $325,000
- Large/Heavy/Premium Cabin: $160,000 - $425,000
