Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Pilot in Command to join its team based in White Plains, NY (KHPN). This pivotal role involves operating a Falcon 8X aircraft within a three-pilot crew supported by a dedicated maintenance technician and cabin attendant, under Part 91 and Part 135 regulations. International flight experience and demonstrated proficiency with the Falcon 8X are essential qualifications. Preference will be given to candidates residing within a two-hour driving radius of White Plains Airport (HPN).
The Pilot in Command holds ultimate responsibility for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. This includes strict adherence to all company and regulatory requirements, while simultaneously delivering an exceptional level of service to passengers.
Ensuring Safe Flight Operations: This encompasses compliance with company and regulatory crewing and trip assignment requirements; meticulous flight planning, including performance calculations and weight and balance; utilization of Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to mitigate operational risks; adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordination with company personnel; acting as Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator; comprehensive pre-flight aircraft checks, including maintenance status verification and accurate recording of discrepancies; monitoring and ensuring adherence to SOPs for ground servicing (fueling, oil, oxygen); conducting passenger briefings in compliance with company policy and regulations, catering to diverse passenger needs; and utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) for effective communication.
Delivering Exceptional Service: This includes providing superior service to owners and passengers, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience, actively investigating and resolving service deviations, and collaborating effectively with crew members and internal partners to ensure consistent service delivery. Conflict resolution skills are paramount.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance: Maintaining current regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience is critical. Active participation in the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and timely reporting of safety concerns or non-compliance issues through appropriate channels are expected.
Prior experience in corporate/business aviation is strongly preferred.
FAA Type Rating in the applicable fleet is mandatory.
Ability to perform all essential functions of the position.
Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
Total flight time: 3500 hours
Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
PIC MEL: 500 hours
Instrument: 300 hours
Jet: 500 hours
