Job Purpose

Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking a qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) for a well-established account based in West Palm Beach, FL (KPBI). The role involves operating a Gulfstream 650 (G650) aircraft primarily for domestic Part 91 operations. Preference is given to local candidates with a GVI type rating. The PIC holds final responsibility for ensuring the aircraft is operated in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner while delivering an exceptional service experience.

Key Responsibilities

Flight Safety and Operations

  • Ensure all flight assignments and crewing are compliant with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks.
  • Utilize Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to lead briefings and mitigate risks.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and serve as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator.
  • Conduct comprehensive pre-flight tasks, monitor aircraft maintenance status, and document discrepancies per SOPs.
  • Monitor and manage ground servicing requirements, including fueling, oil, and oxygen.
  • Conduct passenger briefings and provide superior service, including support for passengers with special needs.
  • Utilize Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) during all phases of flight.

Service Excellence

  • Deliver high-quality service to owners and passengers and proactively resolve service deviations.
  • Collaborate with fellow crew members and internal partners to ensure consistent service delivery.

Proficiency and Compliance

  • Maintain all regulatory and company-mandated training and recency of experience.
  • Comply with the company Safety Management System (SMS) and report safety concerns.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Years of Experience: 4-6 years.
  • Prior experience in corporate or business aviation is preferred.
  • FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet is required.
  • Total flight time: 3,500 hours.
  • Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1,500 hours.
  • Pilot in Command (PIC) total: 2,000 hours.
  • PIC Multi-Engine Land: 500 hours.
  • Instrument time: 300 hours.
  • Jet time: 500 hours.
