Position Purpose
Executive Jet Management is seeking a qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Gulfstream 500 aircraft operating under Part 135 regulations. This role is based in Boca Raton, Florida, and is part of a three-pilot crew supported by a Maintenance Technician. The PIC holds ultimate responsibility for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft, while simultaneously delivering an exceptional service experience to passengers.
Key Responsibilities
Ensuring Safe Operation of Flight:
- Confirming that crewing and trip assignments adhere strictly to company and regulatory requirements.
- Performing comprehensive flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance assessments for each flight assignment.
- Leading required pre-flight briefings using the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to effectively mitigate operational risks.
- Adhering to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating seamlessly with relevant company personnel. Serving as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as per company policy.
- Conducting all pre-flight aircraft checks, including verification of the aircraft's maintenance status, to ensure mission readiness. Documenting all aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Overseeing and ensuring that all aircraft ground servicing requirements (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are monitored and completed according to SOPs.
- Executing passenger briefings in compliance with company policy and regulations. Providing the highest caliber of customer service and attending to the specific needs of passengers, including those with physical challenges.
- Employing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to facilitate clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency situations.
Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Providing superior service to aircraft owners and passengers, actively identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience. Investigating and resolving service deviations promptly.
- Collaborating effectively with fellow crew members and internal EJM partners to ensure a consistent and outstanding service experience for all clients. Resolving conflicts and addressing challenges in an acceptable manner.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Ensuring continuous adherence to all regulatory and company-mandated training and recency of experience requirements.
- Complying with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and reporting any safety or compliance concerns through the established channels.

Qualifications and Experience
Years of Experience:
- 4-6 years of relevant aviation experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs):
- Prior experience in corporate or business aviation is highly preferred.
- Must possess an FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet (Gulfstream 500).
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position is required.
- Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total Flight Time: 3500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC): 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
