Hawker 4000 Pilot in Command
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and a subsidiary of NetJets, has been a pioneer in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977. Rooted in the core principles of safety, service, and integrity, EJM seeks a qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Hawker 4000 based at Centennial Airport (KAPA) in Englewood, CO.
This position is part of a well-established, three-pilot account flying approximately 250 hours per year under Part 91 regulations. This is not a commutable position; applicants must reside or be willing to relocate to the Denver area. Common destinations include Miami, Las Vegas, Teterboro, and occasional flights to the Caribbean. The Pilot in Command holds the ultimate responsibility for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. He complies with all company and regulatory requirements while delivering an exceptional service experience.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Ensures the safe operation of flight, including:
- Ensuring crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Completing flight planning, performance, and weight and balance tasks for each assignment.
- Utilizing Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Complying with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating with company personnel. Acting as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Completing all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including maintenance status checks, to ensure mission capability and recording all discrepancies per SOPs.
- Ensuring all aircraft ground servicing (fueling, oil, oxygen) is monitored and accomplished per SOPs.
- Completing passenger briefings according to company policy and regulations, delivering the highest level of customer service and meeting any special needs.
- Utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate effectively with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
- Delivers an exceptional service experience by:
- Providing quality service to owners and passengers and identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience. Investigating and resolving service deviations.
- Collaborating with crew members and EJM internal partners to provide a consistent service experience. Resolving conflict and challenges acceptably.
- Maintains proficiency and compliance by:
- Maintaining regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Complying with the company SMS program and reporting safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate channels.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Requirements:
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation.
- FAA Type rating in Hawker 4000 (preferred).
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Must reside or be willing to relocate to the Denver area.
Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Base Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $160,000 - $325,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications, for Small/Mid/Supermid cabin size aircraft.
