Executive Jet Management, a subsidiary of NetJets and a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking a highly qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Gulfstream 650 aircraft based at Washington Dulles International Airport (KIAD). This position is part of a four-pilot team supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician, operating under Part 91 regulations.

The Pilot in Command holds ultimate responsibility for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. This individual will adhere to all company and regulatory requirements while ensuring an exceptional service experience for passengers. This is a dynamic opportunity, involving a significant amount of international travel. A strong background in international operations is a must, with preference given to locally based and type-rated candidates. Relocation assistance may be considered for highly qualified applicants.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures all crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory standards.
  • Completes comprehensive flight planning, performance, and weight and balance calculations for each flight.
  • Utilizes the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to lead briefings and mitigate operational risks.
  • Adheres to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), coordinating effectively with company personnel. Acts as the designated Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator.
  • Completes all pre-flight tasks, including meticulous review of aircraft maintenance status, ensuring mission readiness, and recording any discrepancies per SOPs.
  • Monitors and ensures all aircraft ground servicing requirements (fueling, oil, oxygen) are met per SOPs.
  • Conducts passenger briefings according to company policy and regulations, providing exemplary customer service and accommodating any special needs.
  • Employs Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) for clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
  • Provides exceptional service to owners and passengers, identifying and resolving any service deviations to continually enhance the EJM service experience.
  • Collaborates with crew members and EJM partners to maintain a consistent service standard. Resolves conflicts and challenges effectively.
  • Maintains proficiency by staying current with all regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
  • Complies with the company Safety Management System (SMS) and reports safety or non-compliance issues through the proper channels.

Certifications and Licenses:

  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.

Years of Experience:

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs):

  • Prior corporate or business aviation experience is highly preferred.
  • FAA Type rating in the Gulfstream GVI is desirable.
  • Extensive experience in international corporate aviation is essential.
  • Ability to perform all essential job functions.
  • Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
    • Total Flight Time: 3500 hours
    • Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
    • Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
    • PIC MEL: 500 hours
    • Instrument: 300 hours
    • Jet: 500 hours
