Pilot in Command - Cessna Citation Longitude

Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and a pioneer in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977, seeks a highly qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) for its established flight department. This exceptional opportunity involves operating a new 2024 Citation Longitude based at Council Bluffs, Iowa (CBF) airport. The position is part of a three-pilot operation, supported by a dedicated maintenance technician, flying under Part 91 and Part 135 regulations, averaging 400 flight hours annually. Candidates must reside within commuting distance of Council Bluffs, IA.

Purpose of the Position:

The PIC holds ultimate responsibility for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. This includes strict adherence to all company and regulatory requirements, while consistently delivering an exceptional service experience to passengers.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Ensuring Safe Flight Operations: The PIC will manage crew assignments in accordance with regulations, complete comprehensive flight planning (including performance calculations and weight and balance), utilize Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology, and adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Ground and in-flight security coordination, as defined by company policy, is also required. Thorough pre-flight inspections, recording of discrepancies, and monitoring of ground servicing (fueling, oil, oxygen) are essential. The PIC will conduct passenger briefings, ensuring the highest level of customer service and accommodating special needs. Effective communication, employing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM), will be crucial in all operational phases.

Delivering Exceptional Service: The PIC will actively contribute to an unparalleled customer experience, identifying and addressing service deviations proactively. Collaboration with crew members and internal EJM partners is vital in maintaining service consistency and resolving any conflicts effectively.

Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance: The selected candidate will maintain all required regulatory and company training, ensuring currency and adherence to the company Safety Management System (SMS). Prompt reporting of safety concerns or non-compliance issues through established channels is expected.
