Pilot in Command Citation CE-560XLS
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a subsidiary of NetJets and part of the world's largest private aviation infrastructure, seeks a qualified Pilot in Command for a Citation 560XLS aircraft. This two-pilot position supports a managed client and part 135 charter, averaging 400 hours of total annual flying. The aircraft is based in Bridgeport, CT, with most owner trips originating and departing BDR airport and frequent trips to Sarasota, FL. Candidates residing in the Eastern Time Zone within driving distance to a major airport hub are preferred.
The Pilot in Command (PIC) Responsibilities
The Pilot in Command (PIC) holds final responsibility for ensuring the aircraft is operated in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner. The PIC is responsible for:
Ensuring Safe Operation of Flight:
- Complying with company and regulatory requirements for crewing and trip assignments.
- Completing flight planning, performance, weight and balance tasks as required.
- Utilizing Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to mitigate operational risks.
- Adhering to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating with company personnel.
- Acting as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Performing all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including verifying maintenance status, and recording any discrepancies in accordance with SOPs.
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance with all aircraft ground servicing requirements (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen).
- Completing passenger briefings according to company policy and regulation, and delivering the highest level of customer service, addressing any special needs.
- Utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate effectively and promptly with crew and support personnel during all operations.
Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Providing quality service to owners and passengers, identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience.
- Regularly investigating and resolving service deviations.
- Collaborating with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to ensure a consistent service experience for owners and passengers.
- Resolving conflicts and challenges in a professional manner.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintaining regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Complying with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and reporting safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.
Qualifications:

- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)
- First Class Medical Certificate
- Experience:
- 4-6 years of experience
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation preferred
- FAA Type rating in applicable fleet
- Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
