Pilot in Command - CL350
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks a highly qualified and experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) to join its team based at Fort Lauderdale, FL (KFXE). This position operates a CL350 aircraft under Part 91 regulations, supporting a two-pilot operation with a dedicated Maintenance Technician.
The PIC holds ultimate responsibility for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to delivering an exceptional service experience to passengers, upholding the company's core principles of safety, service, and integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring Safe Operation:
- Adherence to all company and regulatory requirements, including crewing and trip assignments.
- Completion of comprehensive flight planning, performance, and weight and balance calculations.
- Leading pre-flight briefings, utilizing Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) methodology to mitigate operational risks.
- Strict compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), coordinating with company personnel as needed.
- Acting as both Grounds and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Conducting thorough aircraft pre-flight inspections, including assessment of maintenance status to ensure mission capability.
- Accurate documentation of all aircraft discrepancies according to company SOPs.
- Ensuring all aircraft ground servicing requirements (fueling, oil, oxygen) are performed according to SOPs.
- Providing clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations using Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles.
- Delivering Exceptional Service:
- Providing high-quality service to owners and passengers, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience.
- Regularly investigating and resolving service deviations.
- Collaborating effectively with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to ensure consistent service for owners and passengers.
- Resolving conflicts and challenges in a professional and appropriate manner.
- Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintaining required regulatory and company-mandated training and recency of experience.
- Adhering to the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and reporting safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate channels.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience in aviation.
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation is strongly preferred.
- FAA Type Rating in the applicable fleet.
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the position.
- Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
