Pilot in Command - CL3500
Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Pilot in Command to join its team. This position is based at Allegheny County Airport, PA (KAGC), and involves flying a CL3500 aircraft under Part 135 operations.
As Pilot in Command, the successful candidate will assume ultimate responsibility for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft, ensuring adherence to all company and regulatory requirements while delivering an exceptional service experience to passengers.
Responsibilities:
- Safe Operation of Flight:
- Ensure crew assignments and trip plans comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct thorough flight planning, including performance analysis and weight and balance calculations.
- Utilize the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead pre-flight briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Strictly adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain effective communication with company personnel.
- Act as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Complete all pre-flight inspections, verify maintenance status, and record any aircraft discrepancies in accordance with SOPs.
- Oversee ground servicing procedures (fueling, oil, oxygen) to ensure adherence to SOPs.
- Conduct comprehensive passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulations, providing exceptional customer service and catering to any special needs of passengers.
- Employ Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to ensure clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
- Exceptional Service Experience:
- Provide top-tier service to owners and passengers while identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience.
- Proactively investigate and resolve any service deviations.
- Collaborate with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to ensure a consistent service experience for owners and passengers.
- Effectively resolve conflicts and challenges in a professional manner.
- Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintain regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Comply with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and report any safety concerns or non-compliance issues through the appropriate channels.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience in aviation, with a preference for corporate/business aviation.
- FAA Type rating for the applicable aircraft fleet.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Compensation:
Base Salary Range: $110,000 - $432,000
