Executive Jet Management (EJM), a subsidiary of NetJets and a leading provider of aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pilot in Command for a Challenger CL300 aircraft based at Midway International Airport (MDW) in Chicago, Illinois.

About the Position:

This two-pilot account operates under Part 135 (owner-operated) and Part 91 regulations, primarily focused on domestic flights with occasional international trips to the Caribbean and Mexico. The position offers an average of 250 annual flight hours, prioritizing crew quality of life with dedicated days off each month. Trips are planned in advance, and home travel during multi-day layovers is frequently approved.

Responsibilities:

The Pilot in Command is responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft, exceeding customer expectations while adhering to all company and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include:

  • Flight Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensuring crew and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
    • Completing flight planning, performance calculations, weight and balance tasks for each assignment.
    • Leading Threat, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefings to mitigate operational risks.
    • Adhering to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating with company personnel as needed.
    • Acting as Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator according to company policy.
    • Completing all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including verifying maintenance status and recording any discrepancies.
    • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with all aircraft ground servicing requirements (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen).
    • Providing thorough passenger briefings and delivering exceptional customer service, including meeting the needs of passengers with disabilities.
    • Utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) for clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
  • Service Excellence:
    • Providing high-quality service to owners and passengers, identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience.
    • Regularly investigating and resolving service deviations.
    • Collaborating with fellow crew members and internal partners to deliver a consistent service experience.
    • Effectively resolving conflicts and challenges in a professional manner.
  • Proficiency and Compliance:
    • Maintaining regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
    • Complying with the company Safety Management System (SMS) program and reporting any safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 4-6 years of experience, preferably in corporate/business aviation.
  • Certifications and Licenses: FAA Type rating in applicable fleet.
  • Minimum Time Requirements:
    • Total flight time: 3500 hours
    • Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
    • Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
    • PIC MEL: 500 hours
    • Instrument: 300 hours
    • Jet: 500 hours
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Strong understanding of aviation regulations and safety procedures.
    • Proven ability to lead and manage a flight crew effectively.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
