Position Summary: Second In Command (SIC)

The Second In Command (SIC) reports to the Chief Pilot administratively and to the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) during flight operations. The successful candidate will assist the PIC in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft in strict accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and internal company procedures.
Key Responsibilities

Execute safe and efficient domestic flight operations under Part 135 regulations while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.

Adhere to all protocols outlined in company procedure manuals.

Maintain a current FAA First Class medical certificate; proactively report any medical or mental conditions that may impair flight duties.

Demonstrate professionalism while coordinating and leading crew members.

Manage passenger interactions, including greeting, seating, luggage storage, and conducting safety briefings.

Perform additional duties as assigned by flight operations management.
Required Qualifications

Education and Experience:
Working knowledge of FAR Part 135, FAA, ICAO, and international flight operation regulations.

Certifications:
ATP completed, FAA First Class Medical, and current Citation XLS Type Rating.

Flight Hours:
Minimum 2,000 hours total fixed-wing time, including 200 hours of multi-engine time.

Technical Proficiency:
Strong understanding of aircraft systems and limitations; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and mobile/web-based applications.

Regulatory Compliance:
Must possess a valid passport and the ability to obtain/maintain CANPASS authorization.

Safety-Sensitive Status:
This role is subject to FAA-mandated pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
The role requires the ability to climb, twist, bend, crouch, stoop, kneel, and crawl, with the ability to move in tight quarters. Candidates must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, and regularly push/pull up to 70 pounds or lift/move up to 50 pounds. Work involves exposure to loud noises, outdoor/hangar environments, extreme temperatures, and aircraft interiors. Travel is required 100% of the time while on rotation.
Compensation and Schedule

Salary:
$120,000 annually.

Schedule:
6 days on, 8 days off.
