Second In Command (SIC) - Remote
flyExclusive is seeking a qualified and highly motivated Second In Command (SIC) to join its dynamic team. This is a full-time, fully remote position based out of Kinston, NC. The SIC will assist the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft, adhering to Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures.
Job Summary:
The Second In Command reports administratively to the Chief Pilot and to the Pilot-in-Command during flight. The SIC assists the PIC in preparing for and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft in accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures.
Essential Functions:
- Ensures safe and efficient flight operations for domestic trip assignments, operating under Part 135 regulations while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Adheres to the duties and responsibilities outlined in all company procedures manuals.
- Maintains a current first-class medical certificate as required by policy and notifies the company if a medical condition may impair the ability to perform flight duties.
- Maintains a high degree of professionalism and demonstrates the ability to coordinate and lead the crew.
- Greets passengers, assists with seating, and manages luggage storage.
- Conducts passenger briefings and responds to passenger requests and needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Exposure to loud noises, including but not limited to airplane machinery and jet engines.

Required Education and Experience:
- Working knowledge of all Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to Part 135.
- Thorough knowledge of FAA, ICAO, and other international flight operations regulations.
- Strong organizational skills and advanced multi-tasking abilities.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal/written, and presentation skills.
- Computer skills necessary to operate word processing, email, web-based, and mobile device applications.
- Passionate attention to detail and the ability to work in a team atmosphere.
- Ability to present a well-groomed appearance at all times, adhering to company standards.
- ATP Certification.
- FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Minimum of 2,000 hours Total Time (Fixed Wing).
- Minimum of 200 hours of Multi-Engine Time.
- Valid Passport.
- Ability to obtain and maintain CANPASS authorization for unrestricted travel to/from Canada as a commercial pilot.
- Type Rating in the Citation X.
- Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States and provide two forms of Federal Identification.
- Successful completion of a comprehensive background check prior to employment.
This position is classified as a Safety-Sensitive role under Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and is subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with FAA guidelines.
