Second In Command (SIC)
flyExclusive is seeking a qualified and highly motivated Second In Command (SIC) to join their team. This is a full-time, fully remote position based out of Kinston, NC, operating on a swing shift schedule.
The Second In Command reports administratively to the Chief Pilot and to the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) during flight operations. The SIC assists the PIC in preparing for and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft, adhering to all Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure safe and efficient flight operations for all assigned trips, while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Adhere to all duties and responsibilities outlined in company procedures manuals.
- Maintain a current first-class medical certificate as required by company policy and promptly notify the company of any medical condition (physical or mental) that may impair the ability to perform flight duties.
- Maintain a high degree of professionalism, demonstrating the ability to effectively coordinate and lead the crew.
- Greet passengers, assist with seating, and manage luggage storage.
- Conduct comprehensive passenger briefings and respond to passenger requests and needs effectively.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support flight operations.

Travel Requirements:
- On-call position, with 5 hard days off per month.
- Home base is TMB.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States.
- Strong organizational skills & advanced multi-tasking abilities.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal/written, and presentation skills are necessary to perform job at the expected level.
- Strong communication customer service skills.
- Computer skills necessary to operate word processing, email and web-based and/or mobile device applications.
- Must possess a passionate attention to detail and the ability to work in a team atmosphere.
- FAA First Class Medical.
- Commercial Single Engine Land (SEL) and Single Engine Sea (SES) with Instrument Rating.
- IFR Proficiency and Currency.
- 500 total flight hours, including:
- 250 hours PIC
- 100 hours cross-country
- 25 hours night
- 25 hours Seaplane
- Must be highly knowledgeable of the General Operations manual, FAA Regulations, Operations Specifications, Flight Manuals, Standard Operating Procedures, Policies and Procedures, and other pertinent information relating to this duty.
- Must be able to complete training program, demonstrating proficiency with job requirements.
- Candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background check prior to employment. This includes verification of previous employment, education, criminal history, and any other relevant information necessary to determine the suitability for the position.
- This position is classified as a Safety-Sensitive role under Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and is subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with FAA guidelines.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: $45,000.
- Per diem: $66 per day (domestic), $85 per day (international) when overnight away from base.
