Exclusive Jets | First Officer

Second In Command (SIC) - Fully Remote

FlyExclusive is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Second In Command (SIC) to join its dynamic team. This is a fully remote, full-time position based out of Kinston, NC. The SIC will assist the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft, adhering to Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures.

The Second In Command reports administratively to the Chief Pilot and to the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) during flight. He or she will play a crucial role in maintaining a high level of customer service and upholding flyExclusive's core values of safety, service, and excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures safe and efficient flight operations for domestic trip assignments operating under Part 135 regulations while maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Adheres to all duties and responsibilities outlined in company procedures manuals.
  • Maintains a current first-class medical certificate and promptly notifies the company of any medical conditions that may impair flight duties.
  • Maintains a high degree of professionalism and demonstrates the ability to coordinate and lead the crew.
  • Greets passengers, assists with seating, and manages luggage storage.
  • Conducts passenger briefings and addresses passenger requests and needs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of all Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to Part 135.
  • Thorough knowledge of FAA, ICAO, and other international flight operations regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills and advanced multi-tasking abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal/written, and presentation skills.
  • Computer skills necessary to operate word processing, email, and web-based and/or mobile device applications.
  • Passionate attention to detail and the ability to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Ability to present a well-groomed appearance at all times adhering to company standards.
  • ATP complete.
  • FAA First Class Medical.
  • Minimum of 2,000 hours Total Time (Fixed Wing).
  • Minimum of 200 hours of Multi-Engine Time.
  • Valid Passport.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CANPASS authorization for unrestricted travel to/from Canada as a commercial pilot.
  • Appropriate Type Rating.
  • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States and provide two forms of Federal Identification.
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check is required prior to employment.

Work Environment:

The role involves exposure to loud noises, typical outdoor and industrial/hangar environments, and potential exposure to extreme temperatures due to travel requirements. The position may also involve working in the typical business aircraft interior with potentially tight spaces.

  • Ability to climb, twist, bend, crouch, stoop, kneel, and crawl.
  • Ability to move in tight quarters.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions as needed.
  • Ability to regularly push/pull up to 70 pounds.
  • Ability to regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds.

Additional Information:

This position is classified as a Safety-Sensitive role under FAA regulations and is subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing. Travel is required 100% while on rotation. FlyExclusive is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
