Job Summary
flyExclusive is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Second In Command (SIC) Pilot to contribute to the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft. This fully remote position, administratively reporting to the Chief Pilot and operationally to the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) during flight, is critical in ensuring strict adherence to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and company procedures during all flight operations under Part 135 regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute safe and efficient domestic flight operations under Part 135, prioritizing exceptional customer service.
- Strictly adhere to all company procedures, policies, and manual guidelines.
- Maintain a current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate and promptly report any medical conditions that may affect flight duties.
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, demonstrating strong leadership and crew coordination abilities.
- Facilitate an outstanding passenger experience, including welcoming passengers, assisting with seating and luggage storage, conducting comprehensive briefings, and providing responsive service to passenger requests and needs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Pilot-in-Command or Chief Pilot.
Qualifications and Experience
Required Certifications & Flight Time
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
- Current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate.
- Minimum of 2,000 hours total fixed-wing flight time.
- Minimum of 200 hours multi-engine flight time.
- Possession of an appropriate aircraft type rating.
- Valid Passport.
- Ability to obtain and maintain CANPASS authorization for unrestricted commercial pilot travel to/from Canada.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Comprehensive working knowledge of all Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to Part 135 operations.
- Thorough understanding of FAA, ICAO, and other international flight operations regulations.
- Exceptional organizational skills and advanced multi-tasking capabilities.
- Superior interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and fundamental computer applications for data entry and web/mobile device use.
- Demonstrated passionate attention to detail and a commitment to fostering a positive team atmosphere.
- Strong initiative, highly motivated with a positive attitude, and the ability to perform consistently in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective problem-solving skills, particularly under pressure, coupled with strong critical thinking and adaptability.
- Accountability and the capacity for clear, effective communication, including challenging conversations.
- Strong focus on excellence in all aspects of work and the ability to maintain a consistently well-groomed appearance, adhering to company uniform and dress code standards.
Compliance & Eligibility
- This is a Safety-Sensitive position subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing in compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations.
- The candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States and provide two forms of federal identification.
- Successful completion of a comprehensive background check is required prior to employment. This includes verification of previous employment, education, criminal history, and any other relevant information necessary to determine suitability for the position.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Work Environment
- The role involves exposure to typical aviation environments, including loud noises from aircraft machinery and jet engines.
- Frequent exposure to typical outdoor and industrial/hangar settings.
- Some exposure to extreme temperatures is to be expected due to travel requirements.
- Operations occur within typical business aircraft interiors, which may present tight or cramped spaces.
Physical Demands
- Ability to see and hear clearly, and to read, comprehend, and speak English fluently.
- Physical agility required for duties such as climbing, twisting, bending, crouching, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and moving in confined spaces.
- Capability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work effectively in all weather conditions as needed.
- Regularly push/pull up to 70 pounds and lift/move up to 50 pounds.
Travel Requirements
This position requires 100% travel while on rotation.
