Second In Command (SIC)
FlyExclusive is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Second In Command (SIC) to join its growing team. This is a fully remote position, though travel is required while on rotation. The SIC will assist the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft, adhering to all Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures.
Job Summary:
The Second In Command reports administratively to the Chief Pilot and operationally to the Pilot-in-Command during flight. The SIC supports the PIC in preparing for and executing flights, ensuring the highest level of safety and customer service.
Essential Functions:
- Ensures safe and efficient flight operations for domestic trip assignments, operating under Part 135 regulations while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Adheres to all duties and responsibilities outlined in company procedures manuals.
- Maintains a current first-class medical certificate as required by policy and notifies the company of any medical conditions that may impair flight duties.
- Maintains a high degree of professionalism, coordinating and leading the crew effectively.
- Greets passengers, assists with seating, and manages luggage storage.
- Conducts passenger briefings and responds to passenger requests and needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to loud noises, including airplane machinery and jet engines.
- Works in typical outdoor and industrial/hangar environments.
- Some exposure to extreme temperatures may be expected due to travel requirements.
- May work in the typical business aircraft interior, which can be a tight or cramped space.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to see and hear clearly.

- Ability to climb, twist, bend, crouch, stoop, kneel, and crawl.
- Ability to move in tight quarters.

Dress Code and Uniform:

Travel Required:
- 100% travel is required while on rotation.
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of all Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to Part 135.
- Thorough knowledge of FAA, ICAO, & other international flight operations regulations.
- Strong organizational skills & advanced multi-tasking abilities.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal/written, and presentation skills.
- Computer skills necessary to operate word processing, email and web-based and/or mobile device applications.
- Passionate attention to detail and the ability to work in a team atmosphere.
- Ability to present a well-groomed appearance at all times adhering to company standards.
- ATP certificate.
- FAA First Class Medical certificate.
- At least 2,000 hours Total Time (Fixed Wing).
- At least 200 hours of Multi-Engine Time.
- Valid Passport.
- Ability to obtain and maintain CANPASS authorization for unrestricted travel to/from Canada as a commercial pilot.
- Appropriate Type Rating.
- This position is classified as a Safety-Sensitive role under Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and is subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with FAA guidelines.
- Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States, and must provide two forms of Federal Identification.
- Candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background check prior to employment, including verification of previous employment, education, criminal history, and other relevant information.
