Second In Command (SIC) - Fully Remote
flyExclusive is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Second In Command (SIC) to join their dynamic team. This is a full-time, remote position based in Kinston, NC, operating during day hours. The SIC will report administratively to the Chief Pilot and directly to the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) during flight operations. The incumbent will assist the PIC in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft, adhering to all Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures.
Job Summary:
The Second In Command is responsible for contributing to safe and efficient flight operations under Part 135 regulations, while maintaining a high standard of customer service. The role includes duties and responsibilities stated in all company procedures manuals, as well as maintaining a current first-class medical certificate. The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, coordinate effectively with crew, and assist with passenger needs, including greetings, seating, luggage, briefings, and requests. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Essential Functions:
- Ensuring safe and efficient flight operations for domestic trips under Part 135 regulations.
- Adhering to all company procedures and manuals.
- Maintaining a current first-class medical certificate.
- Demonstrating a high degree of professionalism and leadership.
- Greeting passengers, assisting with seating and luggage.
- Conducting passenger briefings and responding to requests.
- Performing additional duties as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to loud noises from aircraft machinery and jet engines.
- Typical outdoor and industrial/hangar environments.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures due to travel requirements.
- Typical business aircraft interior with possibly cramped spaces.

100% travel required during rotation.
Required Education and Experience:
- Working knowledge of all Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to Part 135.
- Thorough knowledge of FAA, ICAO, and other international flight operations regulations.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal/written, and presentation skills.
- Computer proficiency in word processing, email, and web-based applications.
- Passionate attention to detail and a team-oriented approach.
- Ability to maintain a well-groomed appearance.
- ATP certification.
- FAA First Class Medical certificate.
- Minimum of 2,000 hours total flight time (Fixed Wing).
- Minimum of 200 hours of Multi-Engine flight time.
- Valid Passport.
- Ability to obtain and maintain CANPASS authorization for unrestricted travel to/from Canada.
- Appropriate Type Rating with 36 months of currency.
- Successful completion of pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing.
- Authorization to work lawfully in the United States, with two forms of Federal Identification.
- Successful completion of a comprehensive background check.
