Position Overview:
The Second In Command (SIC) plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft. Reporting administratively to the Chief Pilot and operationally to the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) during flight, the SIC assists in all aspects of flight preparation and execution. This includes adhering to meticulous standards in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute safe and efficient domestic flight operations under Part 135 regulations, consistently delivering exceptional customer service.
- Uphold the highest levels of professionalism and leadership, working seamlessly with the crew to ensure a positive and comfortable experience for passengers.
- Maintain a current First Class Medical Certificate and proactively communicate any potential health concerns that could impact flight duties.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of FAA, ICAO, and other international flight operations regulations.
- Demonstrate strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities to navigate a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Exhibit exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver clear and effective presentations.
- Exercise critical thinking and problem-solving skills to effectively address challenges and maintain composure under pressure.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and possess a solid understanding of computer applications and data entry.
Essential Qualifications:
- ATP Certification.
- FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Minimum 2,000 hours Total Time (Fixed Wing).
- Minimum 200 hours of Multi-Engine Time.
- Valid Passport.
- Ability to obtain and maintain CANPASS authorization for unrestricted travel to/from Canada as a commercial pilot.
- Appropriate Type Rating.
- Successful completion of a comprehensive pre-employment background check, including drug and alcohol screening in accordance with FAA regulations.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
