Overview

JOB PURPOSE

To conduct simulator training for the initial issue, revalidation and renewal of type ratings. To conduct ground training for the initial issue, renewal and revalidation of type ratings. To develop and maintain courseware used in Pilot Training.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Delivering initial, conversion and recurrent ground training for all pilot courses,
  2. Delivering initial and conversion flight training for pilots on flight training devices (FTDs), fixed base simulators (FBSs) and full flight simulators (FFSs),
  3. Acting as subject matter experts for the development and maintenance of courseware to support all pilot training. This is significant to ensure we maintain relevant and compliant training material.
  4. Administer company and regulatory ground examinations for initial, conversion and recurrent ground training for all pilot courses.
  5. Ensure accurate progress reports are filed on trainee progress
  6. In coordination with the managers of fleet training, ensure suitable remedial training is administered, tailored to the gaps identified.
  7. Conduct and then document the results of the required “Quality Test Flights” on the simulators and flight training devices as described in the relevant Etihad quality processes.
  8. Develop and maintain the “Differences Lists” between the simulators and the latest fleet modification status.
  9. Develop and maintain the “Differences Lists” between the type rating CBT courseware and the latest fleet modification status.

QUALIFICATION & EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & KNOWLEDGE

Experience:

2 years previous Instructional experience.

The full time SFI candidate should have delivered instruction on A320, A330, A340, A350, A380, B777 or B787 in the past 24 months.

Knowledge:

Well developed communication and strong interpersonal skills

Sound presentation skills

Computer literate
