Arba Minch Conference Resort, in collaboration with Ethiopian Skylight Hospitality Group, is seeking a Steward Supervisor for its Arba Minch location. This role requires a candidate with proven experience in stewarding and supervisory responsibilities within a hospitality setting.
About the Role
The Steward Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing stewarding operations, ensuring high standards of sanitation, and managing equipment and chemical safety. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the operational efficiency and hygiene of the resort's food and beverage services.
Requirements
- Certificate of Competency (COC) in Hotel Operations / Food Hygiene.
- National Technical Qualification Framework (NTQF) Level III.
- Grade 12 completion.
- Additional training in hospitality or hygiene is advantageous.
- A minimum of three years of experience in stewarding.
- Prior supervisory exposure is required.
- Proficiency in sanitation practices, equipment handling, chemical safety, and basic inventory management.
- Fluency in both spoken and written Amharic and English is essential.
- Knowledge of an additional language is considered an advantage.
Qualifications
- COC in Hotel Operations / Food Hygiene, NTQF Level III, Grade 12; hospitality/hygiene training an advantage.
- Three or more years in stewarding, with some supervisory exposure.
- Technical skills in Sanitation, equipment handling, chemical safety, inventory basics.
- Fluency in Amharic and English, spoken and written; an additional language is an advantage.
