Essential Qualifications and Requirements
Prospective Specialized Flight Instructors must fulfill the following essential criteria:
- A minimum age of 18 years.
- Legal eligibility to work within the United States.
- Possession of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- A current FAA medical certificate.
- Demonstrated proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
- Holds a minimum of an FAA Commercial Pilot License or an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
- Preference will be extended to pilots who currently possess their Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) or Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFII) ratings.
- A proven record of safe driving and flight operations.
- A minimum of two years of flight instructing experience.
- At least 200 hours of dual instruction given.
