Production Test Pilot / CFI
This position reports to the Director of Operations and is classified as exempt. The Production Test Pilot/CFI is responsible for conducting production flight tests of newly manufactured aircraft. This involves meticulously adhering to approved procedures to evaluate and adjust the aircraft, engines, avionics systems, and related components, ensuring full compliance with established design and performance specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform production acceptance flight tests of Enstrom helicopters to verify adherence to FAA certification standards.
- Provide detailed debriefings to engineering and manufacturing teams regarding ground and flight discrepancies, offering technical expertise to facilitate problem resolution.
- Track and balance main rotor blade sets.
- Conduct pre- and post-maintenance flights on customer aircraft to assess airworthiness and compliance with FAA regulations.
- Support the Sales and Marketing departments by executing demonstration flights.
- Strictly adhere to production acceptance test procedures and company standard operating procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1000 helicopter flight hours as Pilot in Command.
- Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Pilot and Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certificates.
- Demonstrated ability to lift 50 lbs overhead.
Desired Qualifications:
- Helicopter Instrument Rating.
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License.
- Prior flight experience in Enstrom helicopters.
