ATR First Officer Position – Empire Airlines, Billings, MT
Empire Airlines seeks a highly skilled and experienced ATR First Officer to join its team in Billings, Montana. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate the aircraft throughout all phases of flight, meticulously monitoring flight conditions, including weather and cargo safety. This includes verifying go/no-go decisions, fuel requirements, weather variables, and assisting the Captain in selecting alternate destinations as needed.
- Maintain constant situational awareness, ensuring clear communication with air traffic control, dispatch, and other relevant personnel. Accurate and timely reporting of flight hours, adherence to FAA regulations and company directives, and prompt reporting of any aircraft anomalies are essential.
- Continuously enhance piloting skills and knowledge, remaining current on all applicable regulations, procedures, policies, and company manuals. The candidate will serve as a positive and communicative leader, representing Empire Airlines to the highest standards.
- Efficiently manage administrative tasks, including reviewing company bulletins, submitting expense reports and other documentation accurately and promptly.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Weekly salary ranging from $1,193 to $1,278 ($62,036 to $66,456 annually).

Qualifications:
- ATP certificate with MEL rating.
- Second-class medical certificate.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Adherence to the company’s FAA/DOT mandated Drug and Alcohol Program.
- Minimum flight experience: 1500 total flight hours (TT), 250 hours as pilot-in-command (PIC), 50 hours of multi-engine land (MEL) experience. Compliance with all requirements under Part 61.159, and current IFR currency and proficiency are mandatory.
Working Conditions:
This position involves both outdoor and in-flight work, exposing the employee to varying weather conditions. The role requires physical stamina, including prolonged periods of standing, walking, sitting, bending, and stooping, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Manual dexterity, excellent hearing and vision are essential. Travel to multiple locations may be required.
