About the Role
Empire Airlines is seeking an experienced ATR Captain to join their team in Belgrade, Montana. This position involves commanding aircraft during all flight phases, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant Part-121 operations. The Captain will be responsible for operational decision-making, crew leadership, regulatory adherence, communication with dispatch and air traffic control, and accurate record-keeping.

Requirements
- ATP certificate with MEL rating
- First-class medical certificate
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Adherence to the company’s FAA/DOT Drug and Alcohol Program
- Minimum 2,500 total flight hours
- Minimum 1,000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC)
- Minimum 1,000 hours Multi-Engine Land (MEL)
- Minimum 300 turbine or turboprop hours
- Minimum 500 crew hours under Part 121.436
- Current Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) currency and proficiency
About the Role
- Safely maneuver the ATR aircraft through all phases of flight
- Monitor weather, cargo safety, and other flight conditions
- Make critical go/no-go decisions
- Verify fuel requirements and loading procedures
- Select alternate destinations as necessary
- Maintain command during unexpected circumstances
- Ensure effective communication with stations, towers, flight controllers, and dispatchers
- File required FAA reports
- Report unusual aircraft behavior or performance to dispatch or maintenance
- Record flight hours accurately with Dispatch
- Comply with FAA rest requirements and company directives
- Maintain current knowledge of regulations, procedures, manuals, handbooks, and company policies
- Supervise and evaluate staff
- Serve as a constructive and communicative leader
- Review daily bulletins and correspondence
- Submit accurate and timely transmittals and expense reports
- Maintain an ethical and professional work environment
- Support Empire Airlines’ mission
- Perform other related duties as assigned
