Empire Airlines seeks an experienced ATR Captain for a full-time, home-base position. This role involves conducting safe, efficient, and compliant flight operations, managing all phases of flight, and ensuring adherence to regulations and company policies. Successful candidates will be eligible to participate in the FedEx Purple Runway Program.

About the Role

The Part-121 Home-Base Captain is responsible for the safe operation of ATR aircraft, encompassing all flight conditions, cargo safety, and fuel management. This position requires maintaining command during unexpected circumstances, coordinating with air traffic control and dispatch, and accurately reporting flight data. The Captain will also supervise staff, stay current with regulations and company procedures, and serve as a positive leader.

Requirements

ATP certificate with Multi-Engine Land (MEL) rating.
First-class medical certificate.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Adherence to the company’s FAA/DOT required Drug and Alcohol Program.
Fixed-wing minimums:

2500 hours Total Time (TT).
1000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC).
1000 hours Multi-Engine Land (MEL).
300 hours turbine/turboprop.
500 hours crew time.
Part 121.436 Pilot Qualification.
Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) currency and proficiency.

Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to safely maneuver aircraft through all phases of flight.
Proficiency in monitoring flight conditions, including weather and cargo safety.
Capability to make go/no-go decisions and manage alternate destination planning.
Skill in maintaining command during unforeseen events and communicating effectively with relevant personnel.
Experience in filing required FAA reports and documenting aircraft performance.
Familiarity with FAA rest requirements and company directives.
Leadership experience in supervising and evaluating staff.
Commitment to ethical behavior and maintaining a professional work environment.

Working Conditions

Work is performed outdoors and in an aircraft.
Exposure to inclement weather is possible.
Extended periods of standing, walking, sitting, bending, and stooping may be required.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

May require working in multiple locations.

Home-Base Policy

Home-base pilots will designate an approved airport for duty commencement and termination, requiring daily service to multiple hubs. The company provides parking only at the approved home base. A defined schedule rotation of two weeks on duty followed by one week off applies, with limitations on weeks off per calendar year. Compensation and benefits are detailed within the full policy.

Pay and Benefits

Starting pay range: $2,500 to $2,602 weekly ($130,000 to $135,280 annually).
