Empire Airlines is seeking an experienced ATR Captain for a full-time, home-base position. This role involves conducting safe, efficient, and professional flight operations primarily on ATR aircraft, ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies. The successful candidate will be responsible for flight crew supervision, operational decision-making, and maintaining high standards of conduct and leadership.
The Part-121 Home-Base Captain is entrusted with the overall command and safety of the aircraft during all phases of flight. Key responsibilities include monitoring flight conditions, making critical go/no-go decisions, managing fuel requirements, and selecting alternate destinations when necessary. The captain will maintain command during unexpected circumstances, ensure seamless communication with air traffic control and dispatch, and accurately record flight hours while adhering to all rest regulations.
This leadership position requires supervising and evaluating staff, staying current with all regulatory changes and company procedures, and possessing a thorough understanding of all applicable manuals and protocols. The role emphasizes serving as a positive and constructive leader, promoting ethical behavior, and upholding the mission of Empire Airlines. Daily review of company correspondence and timely submission of reports are also essential duties.
Work is performed outdoors and within an aircraft, involving exposure to inclement weather. The position may require prolonged periods of standing, walking, sitting, bending, and stooping. Lifting up to 50 pounds may be necessary. The role demands manual dexterity, clear speaking ability, and keen eyesight and hearing. Work may be required in multiple locations.
