The role holder will represent Flight Operations in the hiring activity of pilot selection by providing specialized aviation knowledge and evaluative input into the selection process for the recruitment of high-calibre Flight Crew in order to meet operational needs of the organisation. This will be achieved by drawing on previous aviation operational experience to lead pilot candidate evaluations and ensure a consistent quality outcome whilst protecting the integrity of the recruitment process and quality of Flight Crew assessed and recruited.
Job Outline:

Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to drive improvements and efficiencies of the pilot selection process and induction of newly appointed pilots.

Review and short-list pilot candidates through application of aviation knowledge and experience against scoring matrices and recruitment guidelines.

Conduct Assessment Centre activities to assess the aviation knowledge and experience of behavioural competencies of Flight Crew candidates and their 'cultural fit'.

Conduct competency-based behavioural interviews for Flight Crew in accordance with the company framework, established principles and industry best practices.

Safeguard the integrity of the interview process to ensure candidates are considered fairly and equitably taking into account cross-cultural issues, sensitivities and biases.

Fully represent the interests of the Flight Operations department during the final wash-up session to ensure recommended candidates meet the department specific requirements for Flight Crew in collaboration with process stakeholders and where selection differences arise, utilise negotiation strategies and take into account the views and concerns of contributors whilst balancing the need for fairness, process integrity and business requirements.

Provide support to Flight Training with selection Simulator activities and scheduling requirements in Dubai and overseas as required.

Ensure pilot licenses, logbooks and other pilot specific related documentation required to conduct the Flight Crew role are thoroughly checked to ensure they are accurate and certified at the selection and joining phases of the selection process.

As SME provide aviation expertise to support the selection process and Recruitment Manager, with the sucessful selection of Flight Crew.
Qualifications:

Post Graduate Diploma (12+4 or equivalent)
Experience:
-
8+ Years in Flight Operations, Other
-
Experience in Aviation preferably in Flight Operations or areas associated with operating flight deck crew
Knolwedge & Skills:
-
A higher tertiary qualification would be an advantage.

Ideally must have held or currently hold an ATPL and operated as Flight Crew, preferably flying internationally within a commerical airline operation or be able to demonstrate specific expertise and experience within the aviation industry to be able to act on behalf of Flight Operations during the Flight Crew selection process.
