The Opportunity

easyJet is actively seeking talented and experienced A320 Rated Co-Pilots to join its flight operations in Portugal. Successful candidates will assume the role of Second Officer, First Officer, or Senior First Officer, with rank determined by individual flying hours and airline experience. These exciting opportunities are available on permanent contracts in Lisbon or Porto, or a permanent seasonal contract based in Faro. The permanent seasonal contract offers employment for nine months each year when the base is operational, providing a three-month winter period off.

Initial Training Overview

A319/A320/A321 Co-Pilots joining easyJet will complete a standard easyJet Operator Conversion Course (OCC).

Essential Requirements for A320 Co-Pilots

To ensure eligibility for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria at the point of application:

  • Operated as a Commercial Passenger Co-Pilot on A320 family aircraft within the last 12 months.
  • Accumulated a minimum of 500 flying hours on A320 family aircraft.
  • Possess a valid A320 Licence Proficiency Check (LPC) upon joining.
  • Hold an Austrian (ACG) EASA Licence, or be willing and eligible to convert to an ACG EASA Licence prior to easyJet induction.
  • Hold an Austrian (ACG) EASA Class 1 Medical, or be willing and eligible to convert to an ACG EASA Class 1 Medical prior to easyJet induction.
  • Demonstrate a minimum ICAO English Level 4 proficiency.
  • Possess the unrestricted right to live and work in the EU, with full access across the UK, EEA, and easyJet network.

The Selection Process

The easyJet selection process for A320 Rated Co-Pilots involves several stages:

  1. Stage 1 – Online Application: Submission of all required documents.
  2. Stage 2 – Online Assessments: Completion of aptitude and skills assessments.
  3. Stage 3 – Application Review: Thorough evaluation of the candidate's submitted application and assessment results.
  4. Stage 4 – Assessment Centre: Successful candidates from Stages 1-3 will be invited to an easyJet Assessment Centre. This stage comprises both a Non-Technical Assessment and a Technical (Simulator) Assessment, conducted at one of easyJet's Simulator Centres.
