The Role of Captain

easyJet is seeking highly qualified A320 Type-Rated Captains to join its Flight Operations team on a permanent contract. Operating from the left-hand seat, the Captain holds ultimate responsibility for providing an exceptionally safe and enjoyable flying experience for both crew and customers. Essential Role Requirements (A320 Type-Rated Captains)

To ensure successful progression through the application process, candidates must strictly adhere to the following mandatory criteria:

  • Possess a valid A320 Type Rating at the date of joining easyJet.
  • Hold a minimum of 4,000 total flying hours.
  • Hold a minimum of 500 hours on the A320 family aircraft.
  • Hold a minimum of 500 total Pilot-in-Command (PIC) hours on jet aircraft exceeding 30 Tonnes MTOW (to be achieved by the easyJet induction date).
  • Possess a UK CAA Licence with a valid A320 Line Proficiency Check (LPC) at the point of easyJet induction.
  • Maintain a valid UK CAA Class 1 Medical certificate.
  • Demonstrate a minimum ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4.
  • Hold the unrestricted legal right to live and work in the UK, ensuring unrestricted access across the UK, the EEA, and the entire easyJet network.

Initial Training Overview

Successful candidates (A319/A320/A321 Captains) will be required to complete a standard easyJet Operator Conversion Course (OCC) upon joining the airline.
