Experienced A320 Captain (A330/A340/A350/A380 Type Rated)

Location: London Gatwick, Bristol, Birmingham, or Belfast (UK) | Schedule: Full-time, Permanent

easyJet: Leading European Low-Cost Aviation

easyJet is committed to delivering a safe, comfortable, and seamless travel experience, ensuring exceptional customer loyalty. By integrating cutting-edge technology into the flight deck, the airline maintains high standards of innovation, safety, efficiency, and sustainability, supporting its overarching ambition to become Europe’s most beloved airline.

The Opportunity

easyJet is seeking highly professional and experienced Captains currently holding A330, A340, A350, or A380 Type Ratings to join its Flight Operations team on a permanent contract. Successful candidates will transition to the modern A320 fleet after completing a comprehensive Cross-Crew Qualification (CCQ) program.

Operating from the left-hand seat, the Captain is primarily responsible for ensuring a safe and enjoyable flying experience for all crew members and customers. This pivotal role requires the setting of the highest operational standards, demonstrating strong decision-making capabilities, and consistently ensuring that safety protocols are paramount in every aspect of flight operations. The Captain contributes directly to the airline's mission of making low-cost travel effortless and establishing easyJet as a preferred industry leader.

Positions are available across key United Kingdom bases: London Gatwick, Bristol, Birmingham, and Belfast.

This position is ideal for experienced pilots passionate about aviation who seek an airline offering robust development opportunities based on merit, rather than seniority. The role promises dynamic challenges, ensuring that no two days are identical. The successful candidate will join a positive, inclusive team united by the "Orange Spirit," dedicated to mutual support and excellence.

Commitment to Captains: Benefits and Professional Fulfilment

easyJet prioritises the professional well-being and fulfilment of its pilots, offering an industry-leading range of benefits designed to enhance both professional careers and personal lives:

  • Access to a young, modern fleet of Airbus aircraft.
  • Industry-leading training and accelerated career development opportunities.
  • Preferential bidding and flexible roster swaps to promote an improved work-life balance.
  • Generous leave allowances and the option for bookable days off, encouraging adequate rest and relaxation.
  • Complimentary food and beverage provisions during flights.
  • Free parking facilities at base locations for ease of travel.
  • Comprehensive staff travel benefits and other valuable industry discounts.

Initial Training Overview (A320 CCQ Transition)

Captains holding A330/A340/A350/A380 Type Ratings will commence their easyJet employment by completing an A320 CCQ with one of the airline’s approved training organisations. The full cost of the CCQ is covered by easyJet.

Following the successful completion of the CCQ, all transitioning pilots will proceed with the standard easyJet Operator Conversion Course (OCC) upon officially joining the operational roster.
