Eastern Airlines is Seeking Experienced Aviation Professionals
Eastern Airlines is actively seeking highly qualified and experienced pilots to join our team. Ideal candidates possess a deep understanding of aviation principles and a demonstrated commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Essential Qualifications:
- Total Flight Time: A minimum of 7,000 hours of total flight time is required. This time must be accumulated in the operating seat of a turboprop and/or turbojet aircraft.
- Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: A minimum of 2,000 hours of PIC time on multi-crew, multi-engine, commercial aircraft is essential.
- Multi-Engine Experience: Candidates must have a minimum of 2,000 hours of experience operating multi-engine aircraft.
- Turbine Experience: A minimum of 7,000 hours of flight time in turbine aircraft is required.
- Part 121 Operations: At least 1,000 hours of flight time under Part 121 operations are necessary.
- Wide-Body Aircraft Experience: Previous experience as PIC on wide-body aircraft is strongly preferred, with particular emphasis on the Boeing 767 or Boeing 777.
- Licenses and Certifications:
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) License: Issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
- Class 1 Medical Certificate: Valid and current.
- Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit: A valid permit is required.
- US Driver's License: Valid and current.
- Passport: Must allow for worldwide travel.
Additional Requirements:
- Background Checks: Candidates must successfully pass drug and alcohol background checks, a pre-employment DOT drug test, and a criminal history records check.
- Direct Entry Captain Applicants: Must meet the requirements outlined in FAR 121.436.
Note: While a type rating is not currently required, training will be provided to successful candidates.
