Position Summary
The Recurring Remote Drone Pilot is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) within designated production and broadcast environments. This position entails traveling to event sites to perform live sporting event drone operations and securing all necessary flight clearances and approvals.
Key Responsibilities

Operate drones in compliance with company policies and all applicable aviation regulations.

Maintain comprehensive records for training, flight logs, and equipment maintenance.

Serve in the capacity of Remote Pilot in Command or Visual Observer as required.

Coordinate and assist with the procurement of UAS clearances and operational approvals.

Manage the maintenance, logging, and general upkeep of the corporate UAS fleet.

Maintain currency in advanced flight procedures and technical techniques.

Collaborate with the Drone Operations team and align tasks with priorities established by Content Operations management.
Required Qualifications

Valid FAA Part 107 certification.

Valid US driver’s license.

Demonstrated knowledge of FAA Part 107 regulations.

Proven experience in UAS operations within a professional production environment.

Proficiency in non-linear based editing systems.

Minimum of 50 logged UAS flight hours.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Willingness to travel regularly to event and production sites.

Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Education Requirements

Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Media Production, Communications, Aviation, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Compensation and Benefits
The pay rate for this position ranges from $32.50 to $53.00 per hour. The actual base pay offered may vary based on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Select benefits, including medical and financial programs, may be provided based on the level and position offered.
