Position Overview: Cabin Attendant
Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is actively seeking highly qualified Cabin Attendants for a new Global 6000 aircraft based in Oxford, CT (KOXC). This critical role is responsible for ensuring the comprehensive welfare of passengers, encompassing all aspects of cabin safety and service. The successful candidate will join a dedicated team supporting a long-standing Part 91 and 135 account, which operates both Global 5000V and the new Global 6000 aircraft. This account is staffed by seven pilots, two dedicated Maintenance Technicians, and two Cabin Attendants.
Candidates must reside or be willing to relocate within a two-hour radius of Oxford, CT (KOXC) airport. Current Flight Safety or Aircare FACTS training, including "Abnormal and Emergency Procedures" and comprehensive knowledge of cabin systems and operations, is a mandatory requirement.
Key Responsibilities
The Cabin Attendant will perform a diverse range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Coordinating thorough pre-flight activities, including verifying the maintenance status of emergency equipment, ensuring cabin cleanliness, managing aircraft stocking, and overseeing catering orders.
- Reporting directly to the assigned Pilot in Command for all operational duties during scheduled trips.
- Ensuring strict compliance with all Federal Air Regulations (FARs) and company policies outlined in the General Operations Manual.
- Conducting comprehensive emergency and service briefs prior to each flight segment and ensuring the cabin is securely prepared for taxi.
- Providing an exceptional level of customer service, including warmly greeting all passengers, accurately confirming passenger manifests, and creating a first-class cabin environment through meticulous meal preparation and attentive passenger care.
- Maintaining absolute proficiency and currency as a qualified Part 91 and/or Part 91/135 crewmember.
- Adhering to the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program, actively contributing to safety, security, and quality goals through continuous compliance and timely reporting of observations.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Demonstrated experience in customer service; fine dining and culinary meal planning experience is highly preferred.
- Exceptional verbal communication skills.
- The flexibility and willingness to work irregular and extended hours as dictated by flight schedules.
- Ability to successfully complete the rigorous EJM Cabin Attendant Training Program.
- Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) usage.
- Proficiency with all aircraft emergency equipment and a comprehensive understanding of emergency procedures.
- Thorough knowledge of safe food handling procedures.
- Competence in the proper cleaning and laundering of all cabin linens and serving ware.
- Adeptness at operating and performing basic troubleshooting for all onboard entertainment systems and equipment.
- Responsible for the meticulous purchase and stocking of cabin supplies and catering from various vendors.
- Preference will be given to local candidates with demonstrated experience working on large cabin aircraft.
Salary Information
The base salary range for this position, categorized under Large/Heavy/Premium cabin aircraft, is competitive and ranges from $60,000 to $180,000 annually.
