Specialized King Air 90 Captain (Single-Pilot)

A prestigious opportunity is available for a highly skilled Pilot-Captain to join specialized aviation operations. The Captain will be responsible for providing single-pilot expertise in the Beechcraft King Air 90, supporting critical Sterile Insect Technique (SIT) missions across Central America.

The base of operations for this demanding role is established in Mexico. Mandatory relocation to Mexico for a minimum period of one year is required to fulfill the operational mandate. The flight schedule will involve extensive travel and operation within the airspace of various Central American countries, including, but not limited to, Panama, Nicaragua, and Honduras.

Role Summary and Mission Purpose

The selected King Air 90 Captain is entrusted with the leadership and execution of all flight duties related to Sterile Insect Technique Operations. This highly specialized position requires exceptional proficiency in single-pilot environments and strict adherence to international regulations, ensuring the successful delivery of company requirements and customer needs within complex foreign airspaces.

Essential Qualifications and Skill Requirements

The prospective Pilot-Captain must meet rigorous flight hour and licensing standards, along with specific operational prerequisites necessary for international and single-pilot captain responsibilities.

Mandatory Requirements

• Possession of a current FAA Commercial, Instrument, and Multi-Engine license.
• A minimum total flight time of 1500 hours.
• A minimum of 500 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in an airplane.
• Ability to successfully qualify and operate as a single-pilot Captain.
• Possession of at least a valid FAA Second Class Medical Certificate.
• Demonstrated ability to function effectively and collaboratively as a critical team member.
• Willingness and capability to fulfill the mandatory minimum one-year relocation commitment to Mexico.

Preferred Qualifications and Specialized Experience

Candidates who possess the following credentials and experience profiles will be highly regarded:

• 50 hours of PIC instrument time (whether logged in simulated or in-flight environments).
• 50 hours of PIC Multi-Engine (ME) fixed-wing time accrued within the last 12 months.
• 100 hours of total flight time logged specifically in Beechcraft King Air series aircraft.
• 100 hours of turbine engine time.
• Fluency in Spanish, demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively in a foreign-language environment.
• Prior experience working within cross-cultural settings and possessing strong foreign language proficiency.
• Possession of an FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) maintenance certificate.
