Experienced Multi-Engine Fixed-Wing Pilot (Commercial PIC)
Dynamic Aviation is actively recruiting highly skilled and professional candidates for the position of Pilot in Command (PIC). This demanding role requires a proven track record of safe and efficient flight operations, extensive multi-engine experience, and strict adherence to Part 135 regulations. The successful candidate will be instrumental in executing critical missions across the Western United States, requiring adaptability and readiness for short-notice travel.
Minimum Professional and Licensing Requirements
Candidates must possess the following licenses, medical certifications, and operational qualifications:
- License Requirement: Commercial Pilot License (CPL), Instrument Rating (IR), and Multi-Engine (ME) endorsements.
- License Authority: Must hold valid FAA Pilot Licenses.
- Medical Certification: A current FAA Class 2 Medical Certificate is mandatory.
- Type Rating: A specific type rating is not required; comprehensive training will be provided by Dynamic Aviation.
- Operational Mandate: Eligibility for the Interagency Pilot Qualification Card (Pilot Carding Process) is essential.
- Location: While missions are conducted across the Western United states, relocation to the operational base in Chino, California, is required. General relocation to California is preferred but not strictly mandated beyond the required Chino base.
Mandatory Flight Time and Recency Requirements
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum flight hour criteria, specifically aligned with Part 135.243 Pilot in Command under IFR qualifications:
Total Experience
- Total Flight Time:
- 1,500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC) Time:
- 1,200 hours
- PIC in Type:
- 250 hours
Specific Flight Experience (PIC)
- IFR PIC Time: 200 hours
- Mountainous/Low-Level Terrain PIC Time: 200 hours (Flight time must be below 2,500’ AGL, as defined by 14 CFR 95.11).
- Night PIC Time: 200 hours
- Cross-Country PIC Time: 500 hours
- Instrument Time (In Flight): 50 hours
- Instrument Time (Simulated): 75 hours
Recency Requirements (Within the Last 12 Months)
- PIC Multi-Engine Fixed Wing: 100 hours
- Beechcraft King Air Experience: 10 hours PIC in the specific Beechcraft King Air make and model.
Operational Expectations
The role demands significant operational flexibility and readiness for deployment across critical fire locations. The Pilot in Command must possess the capability to travel and execute all necessary travel arrangements on very short notice to facilitate rapid movement between operational sites.
