Description
DroneUp is seeking a Drone Pilot Instructor for our Learning and Development team. The Drone Pilot Instructor conducts Flight School workshops and seminars, ranging from 1:1 instruction to group engagements as well as oversees the build-out of a training curriculum to support the scaling of our operations.
Responsibilities

Provide operational control and responsibility for curriculum management, flight operations manuals, and regulatory oversight training

Develop lesson plans and conduct ground training modules covering aircraft systems, including normal, abnormal, and emergency operations

Manage flight training facilities and the associated budget

Establish and reviews course content to ensure relevancy

Maintain accurate student training records, student logbooks, and computer records

Set standards for each training program (i.e. required, optional and safety-related)

Engage with Subject Matter Experts responsible for building and publishing guides, checklists, manuals, and procedures for training programs

Demonstrate hands-on, practical training specific to multiple drones used for Flight Operations

Lead strategic and operational planning to ensure the viability of flight training

Other duties as assigned by the Flight Training Manager
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s Degree in UAS, Aviation, or a related field required
-
3 or more years of UAS specific experience required
-
Part 107 certified with significant flight experience required
-
Training development and instructional design experience preferred
-
The instructor must be knowledgeable about topics related to successfully operating a drone such as FAA regulations, weather, privacy issues, battery maintenance, etc.

Experience with ArduPilot preferred

Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

CFI-I preferred
