What you'll do:

As a First officer on the Citation Sovereign, you will be responsible for assisting the PIC in the operation of various aircraft on behalf of Desert Jet’s 135 charter certificate while ensuring safe and efficient operations in compliance with FAA regulations and company policies. You will assist with ensuring the highest level of safety, customer service, adherence to company policies and procedures, and professionalism during all flight operations.

  • Conduct pre-flight inspections and ensure the aircraft is airworthy and in compliance with all applicable regulations and maintenance requirements.
  • Assist with flight planning activities, including route selection, fuel calculations, and weather analysis, to ensure safe and efficient flight operations.
  • Assist with trip planning activities including booking hotels, airfare, and rental cars.
  • Provide a welcoming and courteous experience to passengers, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the flight.
  • Assist passengers with boarding, disembarking, and stowing their luggage in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Execute flight operations in accordance with company policies, standard operating procedures, OpSpecs, and Part 135/91 FAA regulations.
  • Monitor and assess in-flight conditions, make real-time decisions, and take appropriate actions to ensure the safety of the aircraft, crew, and passengers.
  • Conduct pre and post flight briefings with other flight crew members.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service through positive interaction with passengers, proactive flight planning, and providing a pleasant and comfortable flight experience.

Requirements

Minimum Hourly Requirements

  • Total Time- 1500 hours
  • Total PIC- 500 hours

Minimum Requirements

  • Hold a current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate.
  • Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, aircraft systems, and emergency procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with crew members and passengers.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and make quick, well-informed decisions.
  • Commitment to safety, professionalism, and customer service.
  • Successful completion of recurrent training programs and proficiency checks.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned.
