Job Overview: Pilot Selection Interviewer

The Pilot Selection Interviewer supports the Flight Operations department in identifying and hiring highly qualified pilot candidates. In this role, interviewers collaborate in team settings to evaluate applicants against rigorous organizational standards for employment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct candidate interviews and assessments in alignment with company standards.
  • Participate as a member of an interview panel to ensure consistent selection processes.
  • Maintain availability for an "as-needed," part-time commitment of 3–8 days per month.
  • Perform all duties on-site at the General Offices in Atlanta (ATL), with the understanding that some assignments may be requested on short notice.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current or previous Delta Pilot.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 18 years of age with legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to function effectively within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with an appreciation for diverse perspectives and working styles.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding the pilot recruitment process.
  • Absence of outside conflicts of interest.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous leadership experience, such as Chief Pilot, Assistant Chief, Duty Pilot, LCP, or Instructor roles.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the aviation industry and pilot career development pathways.
  • Ability to commit to the role for a duration of 1–2 years.
