The Pilot Resources is looking for an Analytics Specialist to assist with the design, development, and preparation of analytical studies and presentations supporting all areas within the Crew resources division. An ideal candidate will have good technical knowledge of operations. The candidate should have excellent organizational and communication skills and feel comfortable in a fast-paced environment. The role will support the delivery of Crew Resources initiatives and programs.
Responsibilities
+ Develop and automate complex Crew Ops performance reports and dashboards
+ Identify and improve upon data sources to support performance reporting
+ Complete ad hoc analysis for senior leaders with minimal direction
+ Present findings to senior divisional and business unit leaders
+ Participates in high-visibility, high-impact projects for Crew resources that improve overall divisional and company performance on staffing, finance and operations
+ Adapt to shifting priorities by learning unfamiliar topics quickly, manage individual priorities to ensure project deadlines are met
+ Establish and maintain relationships with peers and customers within Crew, FOP, IFS other divisions.
+ Promotion of safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
+ At least 2 years of experience in analysis, information science, data visualization, or other relevant quantitative field required.
+ Strong technical, analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills. Experience using statistical methods to measure operational performance.
+ Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
+ Ability to perform with a high level of accuracy.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to work independently and multi-task.
+ Must be performing satisfactorily in current position.
+ Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
+ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Science, Business/management, mathematics/Statistics, Economics, or other relevant quantitative field preferred.
+ Advanced level of understanding and experience with SAS, SQL, R, or other database interface tool.
