Position Summary

Reporting to the Director, Flight Operations, the Production Pilot is responsible for executing hangar, ground, and flight tests to certify new aircraft, specifically the CL515. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise for flight manual and checklist development and manage aircraft repositioning. Candidates must possess familiarity with TC, FAA, or EASA-approved engineering flight test processes for Transport Canada aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct production test flights to certify new aircraft and ensure compliance with type certificates.
  • Execute acceptance flights with customers and engineering test flights for modified or new equipment.
  • Perform International Sales and Marketing Demo Flights and international delivery flights.
  • Provide entry-into-service pilot training at customer bases (up to 30 days).
  • Generate technical reports regarding aircraft or system discrepancies.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical manuals, including SOPs, FTPs, and QRHs.
  • Complete all pre- and post-flight documentation, log flight times, report defects, and conduct crew briefings.
  • Plan flights and logistical requirements while maintaining adherence to company safety policies.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Current Canadian Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
  • Minimum of 4,000 hours of total flying time.
  • Minimum of 500 hours of command time on a turboprop aircraft.
  • Type rated on CL215/415.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a pilot in multi-crew aircraft.
  • Current instrument rating and a valid Class 1 medical certificate.
  • Extensive knowledge of engineering flight testing for Transport Canada aircraft.
  • Proven experience serving as an aircraft commander.
  • International experience and/or a training captain background are preferred.
  • Strong technical background in aircraft design, certification, or training is considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work irregular hours, including weekends, and travel extensively at short notice.
