DST llc | First Officer

DST LLC is seeking a First Officer to assist the Pilot-In-Command (PIC) in ensuring safe, legal, and efficient flight operations. This full-time role involves flying and navigating aircraft, flight planning, coordinating with Air Traffic Control, conducting pre and post-flight checks, and communicating with customers to ensure clear understanding of flight and schedule objectives, prioritizing safety. The First Officer will utilize effective Crew Resource Management (CRM) techniques and report mechanical issues to the appropriate departments.

About the Role

The First Officer plays a crucial role in the safe and effective operation of DST LLC flights. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Pre-flight planning and inspections.
• Conducting safe flight operations.
• Navigating and flying aircraft.
• In-flight monitoring.
• Communicating with air traffic control.
• Post-flight inspection.
• Assisting the PIC with necessary aircraft administration documents.
• Communicating with customers regarding flight and schedule objectives.
• Briefing flight participants on safety and egress procedures.
• Reporting mechanical issues to Maintenance and the Chief Pilot.

This is a full-time position requiring some unusual hours, with workday length varying based on customer requirements. A 14-day on/14-day off rotation is typical, with work periods potentially lasting 12-14 hours daily. Evening and weekend work are expected. On standby duty, reporting to the DST Hagerstown facility within 24 hours is required, with potential for shorter reporting times.

Travel, including overnight stays and extended durations, is required as requested by customers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Commercial AMEL (Aircraft Single-Engine Land with Commercial privileges) rating.
• Instrument Airplane rating.
• Minimum of 500 hours Total Time (TT) for the B350 aircraft.
• Current Passport with unrestricted international travel privileges.
• Current FAA First or Second Class Medical certificate.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• U.S. Citizen status upon the first day of employment.
• Must hold or be able to obtain a DOD Top Secret Level Clearance (at minimum).
• Must pass a DOT/FAA regulated drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Minimum of 750 hours Total Time (TT) for the B350 aircraft.
